I gave my two cats some catnip earlier today. One of them (Luna) is a complete catnip enthusiast. She knows exactly what she's doing, enjoys herself, and recovers like nothing happened. The other one (Minnie) is usually the cautious, responsible cat. She took a couple sniffs, looked at me like: "Wow, that's potent stuff." and walked away.

About 20 minutes later she apparently decided further research was required.She went back, got into the catnip properly, and spent the next hour rolling around on the floor, rubbing furniture, grooming herself, and generally making questionable life decisions.

Now Luna is completely fine and ready for whatever comes next. Minnie, on the other hand, has melted into the couch and looks like she's replaying the entire evening in her head wondering where it all went wrong.

Just FYI - They are both running around playing and normal now.
