I busted up my display today and i've been looking around for a way to get into the phone via scrcpy or another method to basically mirror the screen to my pc so i can recover important data and such.

Thing is i am a real cheapskate and so far most ideas have been recommending using some odd adapters and keyboard which i just happen to not have and not willing to spend money on that or to repair a display on a 4 year old phone which i'm replacing anyways.

So far ive been able to connect to my phone using the scrcpy --otg -s phone_id command but that doesn't actually show me my screen it just lets me control it with my keyboard and mouse as you might have assumed. And no i do not have usbDebugging enabled.

This is the best example of someone succeeding with solving a similar issue i've found but i cant get it to work.

Honestly i think if some kind soul with the same or similar phone (without the busted screen of course) could try it while seeing the screen interactions with the keyboard and tell me what pops up and what buttons to press i could probably repeat the steps and make it work.

If anybody has a clue for any other solutions please let me know it will be much appreciated.
