What's this effect called where lights/reflections in film have a colorful glow to them? Is the same thing as halation (even if it's not from the sun and isn't orange)?
Screenshots from Warriors (1979) and koyaanisqatsi (1982). I've noticed this in other old films I've watched (always from lights/reflections/highlights) but have never been able to put my finger on it till now. What are we seeing here?
Can a walksnail VTX keep recording after losing signal with the VRX?
Newbie here so please excuse what could be a very obvious question to yall
I've got the Walksnail HD Pro kit (dual) - so the V2 VTX, Avatar VRX, pro camera, etc. not hooked up to a flight computer or anything - VTX and VRX are just hooked up to power and linked together for a video feed.
I'm using this for a pretty different purpose - I'm putting the VTX system inside a rocket that's goes up a few thousand feet, to not only try to get onboard footage but also watch the launch live with the VRX on the ground.
I want to get footage of the entire launch, but due to the nature of where we're launching I can easily lose signal near the end - buildings get in the way and signal degrades. I've never been able to get full coverage and each time I lose signal it corrupts video (on both the VTX and VRX side), which is annoying to fix.
Can anyone who knows these systems better than me attest to whether I can somehow make the VTX record continuously or anything, regardless of VRX signal? I don't know what all the different settings in the VRX do and/or if there's anything that can be adjusted on the VTX, or anything else I could be missing.
Any help would be much appreciated.
