Tried everything… think I have a routine planned once I’m cleared out… but is senna (smooth move) tea a good option at this point?

Hi all (30F) I’ve always struggled with constipation, but have been so regular the past few months after implementing some psyllium husk in the mornings.

I think I’m getting sick, I missed my psyllium husk a couple days, and traveled and not enough water - short of the long, I’ve been majorly constipated for about 6 days. Called the doc yesterday, and she basically told me to do a mini colonoscopy prep type cleanse. 3 dulcolax tablets around 2 pm, followed by slamming MiraLAX and Gatorade starting 4 pm through the evening. Only drank a TON of clear broth and water.

Nothing happened till this morning around 10 am - had diarrhea and have had it a couple times. But definitely no where near the amount I should be “going…” Sill bloated, still uncomfy, still slightly concerned.

Called the doc again and the nurse said after I’m cleared out, we can start small amounts of psyllium husk and MiraLAX to maintain regularity, but don’t take psyllium husk while I’m constipated and I totally understand why. She said to stay on course with the MiraLAX and maybe take another stimulant laxative this evening if I’m not having any cramping.

At this point I’m going to take MiraLAX again, and instead of dulcolax was thinking Smooth Move tea? I have some and I’m sure I’ve taken it before, but I’m not sure if it would be easier than a dulcolax (although I don’t know that I felt much from that).

I’ve scanned the subreddit and some people seem to suggest senna when all else fails… what are your thoughts? I’m pretty miserable, it’s after hours at the doc, and I really canNOT pay an emergency room bill :’) thanks!

Acne or some kind of bumps only two weeks after stopping 40mg a day

I’ve been on accutane 3x. While acne was an issue for sure, my biggest insecurity was my insanely oily skin. This round of accutane, I’ve been on it for 6 months, 40mg once a day. I only went without it for 3 days for a kidney infection. While on it, I was definitely dry but nothing crazy, lips mostly intact, and I’d only have a pimple or two around my period. I purged quickly and a lot and it was smooth sailing for the most part.

I’ve been off it for about a week, and I’ve already got some pimples… or maybe they’re bumps? There’s no puss, just watery. They don’t hurt, and there are probably 10 of them scattered around my face. My skin and hair already feel like they’re recovering in terms of dryness, but still… it’s only been a week and I don’t remember this happening the last two times I was on it.

I’m definitely going to the derm about this, but before she inevitably says “welp guess you need to go back on it!” I wanted to see if this happened to anyone? It’s this a skin barrier repair thing? Something crazy that happens when your oil levels increase a lot very fast? Did it go away quickly for you? Or should I definitely go back on it (or even ask for a microdose?)

Thanks! ❤️
