Can I buy a sub-$5k used car with a credit card in Tustin / Orange County?

Hey everyone, looking for some quick insight.

I'm in the Tustin area (Orange County, CA) and trying to buy a cheap daily driver for under $5,000. I have the credit limit to put the whole amount on a card and want the points, but I have a few specific questions before I hit up the dealerships around the Auto Center or look for private sellers:

Will independent used car lots in OC even accept a credit card for the full $5k? I know major dealerships usually cap card charges around $2k–$3k due to processing merchant fees.

If they do allow it, does California law let them pass the 3% merchant swipe fee onto me? Or is that baked into the price/negotiation?

What about private sellers? Is using a service like wrapper/escrow services or Paypal (as goods/services) a terrible idea if I find someone locally via FB Marketplace?

Any specific lot recommendations in/around Tustin/Santa Ana known for being flexible with credit card payments on cheap cash cars?

Appreciate any advice or local dealer experiences. Thanks!

My Baofeng UV-5R Radio tuned into the Tustin Metrolink/Orange County Sub Division Channel

Have had this radio for about 3 or 4 days now and I absolutely love it. Love listening to train crews, engineers and dispatchers talking to one another
