I stumbled on it and decided to give it a try because I got tired of Shield of Retribution and resolve stacking/fortress based builds.
And I must say this is awesome. I’m currently running T12 with no issues at all, if anything this is going faster than SoR, my only issue are bosses because I’m not dealing a lot of damage on them.
Give it a try. As weapon you can go with also with Spirit.
Wing Strike is possibly the most badass skill in concept. Yet the containment it needed in the Paladin’s first release in VoH has left it severely underperforming and I really can’t think of a reason for it to stay this way.
So that everyone knows, Wing Strike doesn’t scale with neither attack speed, ultimate ranks, disciple skill ranks/damage, it can’t be spammed because it has an un-reducible reload and doesn’t proc lucky hits. It’s possibly the most restricted skill to ever be known and it’s also locked away from one of the most important Paladin’s unique item: Griswold Opus.
Considering how badly the class overall and the Wing Strike build in particular, a bandaid fix would be to make it have the Holy Light Aura’s speed-to-damage scaling. Maybe make it based on lievemente speed if you don’t like two things scaling with attack speed.
Other than that, if the skill is so severely limited, it means it’s in need of a rework. Make it worth its ultimate sloth with Arbiter Form.
I waited for LoH to be out for this thread because I thought it could be part of the expansion’s content but…
It feels rather underwhelming that Paladins don’t have mini quest nor can develop their class mechanic, especially with the lore potential behind them. You just get them and it’s done.
Maybe the quest could be implemented in future seasons?
I was trying to make a build around Judgement Oath rather than hammerdins (that usually go with the disciple variant and Disciple Oath).
I tried something from the usual sites but even with decent gear/glyphs/aspects I am doing less than 3 orders of magnitude of damage compared to my homemade Wing Strike build (currently at T11).
Did any1 find a good/viable one?
I am really struggling at T10 Mephisto, mostly because of getting oneshotted so I’m trying to shift to increase my defense.
I still don’t know which kind of damage Mephisto does in the various phases so I’d like to ask.
