Video about the Vestax GSM-601

I made a video about the Vestax GSM-601 because I couldn't find any other videos about it.

Does anyone have any more info about this device? I'm curious to know how many units were manufactured. It seems particularly rare.

UMF - My Hand, the Sun, the Body and its Spoils

May Dungeon Shamble alert! Listening link: https://ultramediumfrequency.bandcamp.com/album/my-hand-the-sun-the-body-and-its-spoils

This is noisy, tape-saturated, spoken word dungeon synth. I'm calling it 'industrial pastoral'.

When savages burn down a boy's village, it leads to a trail of retribution, a bloody confrontation and the ultimate loss of his childhood.

Narrated from the boy's perspective, My Hand, the Sun, the Body and its Spoils, was recorded to cassette tape using a rare Vestax GSM-601

There's an accompanying zine of lyrics in the Bandcamp download. And exactly 17 download codes below (listen to the ep to find why).

▲ 126 r/modular

I was watching some cool videos of the Toppobrillo Sport Modulator 2 being self-patched to create an oscillator and I thought, why don't I try and turn my go-to utility module into a voice? Spoiler alert: my go-to utility module is an ALM Mega Milton...

I discovered it can't make a screaming lead all on its own, but it can synthesise one very specific sound: rain falling on your tent.
