Hello, I have high hemoglobin 18.6 after using TRT for 6 months. I am currently doing 3 shots per week (M, W, F) at 40 mg each shot for a total of 120 mg.

I donate blood once every 2 months.

My doctor is suggesting I donate blood 1 to 2 times a month temporarily to help get the number down.

However, he also wants me to increase my dosage to 60 mg each shot for a total of 180 mg per week.

I thought that advice was odd because doesn't more testosterone increase red blood count? Am I misunderstanding how this works?

Would love to hear your experience on how to lower hemoglobin or input on the situation. Thank you
