Hi everyone,

My gf has a Pixel 6 and since yesterday she's unable to unlock her phone.

AOD is working: she can see the time, the battery, etc.

But whenever she presses one of the side buttons or touches the screen, it becomes completely dark. Then after a few seconds AOD is back.

We tried to restart it and it didn't fix anything.

We restarted it in safe mode (which wasn't easy without seeing anything), didn't change anything either.

We called Google and they said that it's probably a hardware issue but I don't understand how the OLED screen would be dead if AOD is still working.

I noticed that the phone's battery is draining fast (around 15% per hour even though we're not touching it) and that the bottom left corner is very hot.

Would changing the screen fix this issue?

I've seen here that the AOD is causing some issues on the latest Pixel phones but they don't seem to be related.
