My boyfriend always forgets to lock the door
He lives in the back of an apartment complex, second floor, in a very safe town. When we go out together he often doesn’t lock the door, we just walk in when we get back. And he’s told me he regularly forgets to lock it at night when he goes to bed too, and that remembering to lock the door is something he’s gotten in trouble for with family members/previous roommates.
But I recently noticed that when I’m sleeping there and he leaves early in the morning and lets me sleep in, the door is always locked when I get up. Every time.
It is incredibly unlikely that a “bad guy” would try this door, set far back from any roads and hidden behind many other homes, in a town where nothing bad ever happens, at 7 in the morning, and yet me being cozily asleep inside makes him remember to lock his door for once.
I love him too.
