My husband never gets me Birthday cakes
Both me and my husband have same birthdays. He used to get me cakes when we were dating. But recently its all me. Anniversary, I make something special. Birthday, I decorate and order something. I have asked him to atleast get me a pastry. And he says whats in a day. Because if we crave we always order in and eat and why should we get anything on birthday just because its birthday.
But I love little gifts. Little cakes or flowers or something. Nothing flashy. Just a here something because I love you and you like things like this.
Now our birthday is approaching and am conflicted between should I go above and beyond to only be met with a cold thankyou. After years of asking him to get a cake, I get so disappointed when I dont even get anything for birthday. He always asks me after I give him something, like what do you want for birthday. I would've lost the excitement or gotten so hurt by then.
