Upcoming Rain - Should I take the car for a wash in the rain?
Hey everyone,
I am a first time car owner. There is an upcoming rain in my area. My car hasn’t been washed in a month. There is a lot of dust on my car even though it stays parked in a closed garage because of the area I live in. I haven’t used the car a lot since the past month. I was wondering if I should take the car out while it’s raining and park it somewhere outside so the dust gets washed by the rain?
I did do my research and the consensus is that rain mixes with pollutants in the air and leaves a muddy residue on the paint when it dries. I don’t intend on driving the car just want to take it out of my closed garage and get it cleaned so there is no chance of muddy water on the ground spraying onto the car surface.
What are your thoughts?
