UIUC or Emory

I was committed to UIUC before I got into Emory off the waitlist. At UIUC, I'd be in Gies for Business + Data Science, or potentially Econ + CS if I can transfer into the CS side later (I've heard it's doable but hard). At Emory, it would be Business + CS as a double major, and the AI in Business program also caught my attention. UIUC feels stronger on the technical side, while Emory feels stronger on the business side with a broader national reach and prestige.

I'm not really drawn to IB or high finance. I'm more interested in startups, product management, entrepreneurship, and maybe consulting. I already run a small business and built a Chrome extension, so the builder side is what excites me most.

One concern I have with Emory is that it seems less known for STEM and tech. Do you think Goizueta's reputation still carries weight when you're trying to break into tech, product, or startups, or would UIUC be far better suited? I'd really value y'all's take on what environment does best going into the business + tech world.

Which one do i pick

I'm an HS Senior trying to decide between Emory and UIUC. I'm interested in business & tech.

UIUC would be either Business + Data Science or potentially Econ + CS if I can transfer in later (heard it's a little hard but usually doable). Emory would probably be a Business + CS double major. UIUC seems stronger technically, while Emory seems stronger business-wise with good connections/prestige all over the US. Emory also has an AI in business program.

I’m also not really interested in IB/high finance. More interested in startups, product, (maybe) consulting, entrepreneurship, etc.

Some concerns about each school: UIUC is a party school and I'm social but I'm not into partying/drinking. Emory seems to be less known for STEM/Tech and GTech seems to overshadow it in that area, but does Emory's prestige still shine thru?

Would love to hear y'alls thoughts on which path you think has better overall, long-term opportunities.
