What do I need to do to get an internship in RL?

Hey guys,

I think people on this sub are incredibly capable and wise, I am very inspired by your projects. Therefore, I’d appreciate your tips so much.

I study robotics in Germany in masters, had theoretical courses in learning based control and reinforcement learning at a renowned technical university. I apply my theoretical knowledge in hackathons regularly, I also have my own projects with serial kinematics. I had a computer vision internship in robotics industry. I really want to gain industry experience in RL. Especially applied in fields such as construction, mining, where the work has positive contributions and impact on communities. I had completed an excavator policy optimisation project with ROS2 due to my interest. I get the impression that being accepted to a position is impossible and my efforts are not sufficient. What am I missing?

Why am I so afraid of looking at deep sea underwater despite having absolutely no trauma or anything?

I learned swimming pretty early on and I remember very vividly how fun and enjoyable the water was for me. I grew up in a town without a sea or body of water, my only interaction with sea was on vacations. I think I was 5 years old when I thought of opening my eyes underwater for the first time and saw that terrifying view. I felt pure fear and panic, started kicking my feet and got out of water immediately. That’s already an early age to be terrified of depth underwater which is strange. Looking at the posts shared on this sub, my heart literally rushes and I can’t even last 3 seconds, I have to look away because it terrifies me. I didn’t have any bad memory or traumatic experience with water or anything. Where is this coming from? I want to understand it.

[28] 25 –> 28

I have naturally auburn, frizzy, curly hair which was a whole story to switch to blonde and tame. I used to get absolutely zero attention from men, felt average and invisible. The attention given to blonde is unbelievable, might actually not be normal. Or maybe my natural colors didn’t compliment me idk. I have been using glycolic acid on my hair which helped with frizz, lost 6kg weight, started using retinol for my skin, also not sure but I think taking inositol to maintain my pcos has helped de-puff my face a bit. But yeah, sometimes people approach me now which always catches me off guard.

SMD Assembly of my PCB

I'm reviewing SMT photos from my PCB manufacturer before moving to THT process. They did not begin with THT yet. They are asking if I approve SMT. On the webpage of the manufacturer, there is a production status track feature. It is shown that the current production status is SMT QC.

I'm unsure about the through-hole connector solder joints. Do these joints look acceptable? Not sure if some of the ICs look ok.

What would you specifically look for in these pictures?

Makerspace for electronic hardware

I have a hardware project for which I need to connect some flex sensors to a molex connector, prototype and maybe solder I gathered the materials but I don’t have all the tools required for the project. As an example, I need a crimp tool for the molex connection and I also don’t have a soldering tool. Could you please tell me, if there is a workshop at the uni that offers students to use tools and work there? Thanks for the help.
