My Neapolitan-ish Pizza making progress: How it started, how it's going

Ciao Friends,

For the past couple of weeks, I was inspired by watching authentic Neapolitan pizza making @ home using a standard Electric Oven, and I was truly inspired to take an attempt after watching this genius and very awesome person, Vito Lacopelli.

My pizza-making attempt is from TOP to BOTTOM.

I started with the Direct Dough method & eventually switched to Poolish, which allowed good fermentation of the dough to start showing the puffing of Cornichone.

Vito gives really good tips on how to bake the pizza in a home electric oven that can reach MAX temp of 550F. Without his tip, I wouldn't have gotten leopard spots and ideal charring of cornichone.

Reference:

I'm not yet there in making perfect Neapolitan-ish pizza, but I feel encouraged with my progress. I'm happy to receive feedback on how to make even better puffy, crunchy, crusty pizza.

Thank you for taking the time to read my POST.

Have a good week and summer!

Ciao 👋 🍕 😋 ❤️

Hi All,

I recently came across this app - Bimmercode, and wish to use it to change the default Driving Mode from Comfort to Eco Pro. But before that, I have a few questions that weren't clear from the Manual of Bimmmercode. Would appreciate it if you could answer it for me:

  • Does my car go out of warranty, or will it be refused service by BMW authorized service centers if I update my xDrive system through Bimmercode?
  • Is it necessary for me to put my car in diagnostic mode? (Press the start button without brake 3 times?)
  • Do I need to provide power to my battery using a jump starter before the coding session?
  • I plan to use my MacBook Pro to code the car. Does the app in my Mac OS need access to the Internet before/while/after the coding session? Asking because my Mac won't have internet connectivity.
  • How can I force the app to take a backup of my xDrive/Control Unit before starting the coding session? I don't want to assume the app will take the backup automatically; I want to force a backup.
  • Can I name the backups to know which one I should restore, if something goes terribly wrong?
  • After the coding session is done, how should I gracefully exit from the diagnostic mode? And confirm the changes have been incorporated?
  • My 2019 BMW X5 only has Comfort mode, but I do see certain forums where people talk about enabling Comfort Plus through the Bimmercode App. But, I feel that's wrong, no? What's the point of having a fictitious drive more if there's no physical button to activate it? For example, I want to switch to Eco Pro mode, then switch back to Comfort Plus, but I can't do that by toggling the buttons. Then what's the point of coding such modes through Bimmercode? Shouldn't the app not allow coding such driving modes in the first place?
  • Is there a nice video tutorial for coding the BMW X5 2019?

Thanks so much in advance.
