Can I refuse a van that does not have a reverse camera? At my store, one of the vans does not have a reverse camera.
I've refused to drive it before however managers disagreed, saying the van is still suitable and safe for roads as long as the reverse alarm is active and working (I ended up NOT failing vehicle check and drove it. I understand the managers point however, the van has been issued multiple times on evening shifts, which seems unsafe as driving without a reverse camera during the night is on par as driving blind
What can I do in this situation if it was to come again. Can I refuse the van completely, or is the van still suitable for roads so must drive it?

During one of my shifts, I was driving through the road my D2D handset showed, and approached a width restriction. The dimensions of the van was of course bigger than the restriction, but as there was traffic behind me, I was unable to turn around. Instead, I drove through the emergency vehicle gap in a state of panic. I am expecting a meeting soon enough as there was a camera positioned there. Is there any way in which I can defend my case if a meeting was proposed?
