Update on the sick cat found on the street

Previous post here.

Thank you for the support and advice on my previous post!

As I wrote in the other post, I found a cat outside my building, he was very sick and didn't move, and I was worried he might die. I didn't mention this in my original post, but I actually spoke to a lady in my building who feeds the stray cats in the area, and she told me there is an epidemic going around, and that 5 cats had already died :( So I took him to the vet, and they gave him a bunch of stuff and told me to keep him away from other cats for 3 days because he is contagious.

And luckily, he is recovering so well! I managed to give him a bath, cause he was smelly, and on Friday he started eating and moving around a lot more. After a few pee-related incidents on my couch (RIP my couch cushion), I managed to make him use the litter box (only took an afternoon before he caught on, I am really surprised how easy it was). We went to the vet again today to get some more shots. Vet thinks he is about 5 months old.

He is super affectionate and prefers spending his time on or around my face. I woke up last night with him draped across my neck, just purring away.

I was really worried about what I would do with him, since I had already decided it was a bad time in my life for a cat, and I don't think shelters are much of a thing here, and I didn't want to put him back on the street - but unfortunately I love him, and will probably not be able to part with him, so now I have a cat.

Pictures are not the best quality, but first 2 are him morning after I found him, last 2 are from yesterday.
