New vlog on my big update for my AR Game Avy Ace

Since launching the game in January, a lot has changed. Most notably, the multiplayer mode I originally relied on was cancelled by its provider, which meant I had to rethink the game and rebuild parts of it around a new direction.

In this update, I’m introducing the new Survival Mode, where you scan your environment, place your headquarter, and defend it against up to 10 waves of enemy airplanes. There are new boss planes, headquarter upgrades, unlockable planes, new explosion effects, boost effects, and a lot of technical changes under the hood.

I also moved Avy Ace from Niantic Spatial SDK to Unity AR Foundation, replaced meshing with plane detection, and removed object detection for power ups to make the gameplay more focused.

Avy Ace 1.2 is now available on iOS.

Just released a big update for my AR Game Avy Ace

In January I released Avy Ace into the Appstore. Back then it was a mainly multiplayer focused AR game. But as the plugin (Niantic Spatial SDK) I used for multiplayer sadly cancelled this feature, I pivoted and now introduce the survival mode, where you need to defend a HQ from waves of attackers. Also there are some new airplanes and accesoires.

Avy Ace is free to play and can be downloaded right now from the app store.
