Like in many stories it is easy to bend Fantasy Elements into Sci-Fi. Like Demons & Gods are Aliens, Magic is Nanotech, The afterlife is a virtual simulation, magic wands are clarketech etc. Now imagine that but reversed. Like spaceships are actually metallic Dragons, psionics are Magic, AIs are just souls placed inside objects etc.
