Help with ED Stemming from Alters :( // TW: EDs and S/H

**// TW: Mentions of eating disorders and self harm**

Hello, we've had a resurgence of ED behaviors that we now understand to be heavy passive influence from previously unknown alters. They've come back in response to a lot of stress, I believe, and it's become hard to get through the day. We've been trying to ask them why they feel the need to engage in such things.

In recent times, Mylie had also shown up again (I recognize her from before we knew we were a system), and she was addicted to S/H. We'd been able to talk to her before. She's now a happier member of the headspace now that she realises she has bodily autonomy and we're not trying to hurt her.

The difference between Mylie and the other alters is that the others seem a lot more limited, like their only purpose is to engage in these behaviors "or else", usually surrounded by fear and flashbacks that I haven't been able to discern much from. They also don't seem to have a distinct form in the body, or if they do, it is as if they are an animation blur frame and they disappear as soon as we try to get a good look at them.

Has something like this happened to anyone else? We truly want to help them but we are very stuck trying to figure out how to do so :(

For us, it's really difficult to tell the difference between many of the common fronters. In the headspace, I frequently mix up Zeta and Theta, as well as Rho and Kappa, and Rho had once said that Zeta and I are incredibly similar-feeling (as far as Theta, I'm not sure that she's ever shown up at the same time as the others). However, it's pretty easy to tell Kappa and Zeta apart due to how differently their "vibes" present.

Oftentimes, we are co-con and we end up blending or shifting pretty quickly between one another, and even though Zeta and I are similar, we still confict with one another sometimes, and it's confusing to us especially when we still have trouble determining how many of us are up front at any given time.

I'm curious on other people's experiences with this, as our experiences with one another in the headspace can sometimes be frustrating or funny when we think one person is there and it's actually another—or both people! :)
