[Open-Source Tool] eero Dashboard v1.6.0 is out: Offline-first, IPv6 ULA discovery, RBAC, and Home Assistant / Prometheus integration

Hey everyone,

A quick heads-up that v1.6.0 of the unofficial, open-source eero Dashboard & Management Suite is now officially live on Docker Hub and GitHub.

(Disclaimer: This is an independent, community-driven homelab tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon/eero).

Key Highlights in v1.6.0:

  • 100% Offline-First Architecture: Bundled all vendor dependencies (Tailwind, Alpine, Chart.js, Lucide) and web fonts locally with PWA caching, ensuring the dashboard renders and functions on your LAN during WAN/ISP outages.
  • Reverse IPv6 ULA Discovery: Resolved local DNS visibility gaps for devices querying AdGuard Home or Pi-hole over ULA addresses via reverse ingestion and NDP probing, linking queries back to eero device hostnames.
  • Local Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Added multi-user management with granular view/action permissions, keeping your master eero 2FA session protected.
  • Homelab Integrations: Native MQTT auto-discovery for Home Assistant and a /metrics Prometheus endpoint with an included 13-panel Grafana template.
  • Telemetry & Reliability Hardening: Resolved SQLite write-lock contention under heavy polling, added an in-app live log console, and introduced relative "First Seen / Recently Joined" indicators.

(Direct links to GitHub and Docker Hub are posted in the first comment below to keep the post clean and avoid spam filters).

A huge thank you to everyone in the homelab community who tested the release candidate and submitted feedback!

[Update] eero Custom Dashboard v1.4.0 is in testing! Fluent redesign, interactive Health Score, Pi-hole/Technitium sync & in-app updates

Hey everyone,

Following up on the previous releases, version 1.4.0 of the open-source eero Dashboard is now in testing! Thanks to your feedback, this update packs major UI improvements, expanded DNS support, and deep optimizations.

https://preview.redd.it/21ql1vf7ojoh1.png?width=1536&format=png&auto=webp&s=903c8bf14ebcaf7cabee12ff2f9a6ffe3bf672f4

Key Highlights in v1.4.0:

  • Fluent Design & Dual Theme: Complete visual refresh inspired by Windows 11 Fluent UI, featuring instant toggle for Dark, Light, or System modes with dynamic adaptive charts.
  • Interactive Network Health Modal: Clicking the Health Score badge now reveals an in-depth breakdown across 4 pillars (Topology, WAN, Client RSSI, and Frequency distribution) with actionable tips to fix weak spots.
  • Multi-Engine DNS Sync: Along with AdGuard Home, the dashboard now syncs local DNS records with Pi-hole (v5/v6) and Technitium DNS. Includes an option to drop rotating IPv6 SLAAC addresses from polluting your query logs.
  • 1-Click In-App Docker Updates: Checks Docker Hub automatically and lets you pull updates directly through the Docker socket, Watchtower webhooks, or assisted CLI.
  • Historical RSSI Analytics: SQLite time-series logging to track individual client signal trends, link quality, and dead zones over 24h / 7d.
  • API Connection Pooling & DNS Cache: Slashed local DNS queries to api-user.e2ro.com by >99% and cut polling cycle latency from ~1.5s to ~250ms.

How to Test:

You can pull and test the image right away:

Bash

docker run -d \
  --name eero-dashboard \
  -p 8085:8000 \
  -v $(pwd)/data:/app/data \
  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
  -e TZ=Europe/Rome \
  --restart unless-stopped \
  enricoflammini/eero-dashboard:latest

(Note: Mounting /var/run/docker.sock is optional, only needed if you want the 1-click in-app container updater).

Let me know if you run into any quirks or have suggestions while v1.4.0 is in final testing!

[Release] eero Custom Dashboard v1.03.00: Official Docker Hub Multi-Arch, Native AdGuard Home Sync & Live Telemetry

Hi everyone,

I've just published v1.03.00 of the eero Custom Dashboard & Management Suite, an open-source web application for monitoring and managing eero mesh networks.

Key Highlights in v1.03.00:

  • Official Docker Hub Multi-Arch Support: Pre-built images for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 (Raspberry Pi 4/5, Synology/QNAP/TrueNAS, Apple Silicon, standard x86 servers). Run it instantly with: docker run -d -p 8085:8085 -v eero_data:/app/data enricoflammini/eero-dashboard:latest
  • Native AdGuard Home DNS Sync: Push device nicknames, active IPv4/IPv6 leases, and MAC addresses into AdGuard Home's persistent client registry with one-click testing and automated background synchronization.
  • Multi-Gen Mesh Topology Resolution: Multi-key parsing engine fixing client counts and node mapping across all models (Max 7, Pro 6E, eero 6+, and eeroOS 7.x).
  • Multi-Gig Ethernet & Backhaul Telemetry: Dynamically detects and displays negotiated link speeds (10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G, 100M) for wired mesh backhauls and multigig clients.
  • RF Telemetry & Profile Sync: Live Wi-Fi signal strength (dBm), active channels, PHY link rates, and eero Family profile filtering directly in the main table.
  • Instant Live / Demo Mode Switcher: Safely preview features in Demo mode and switch back to your Live Network without losing your session token.
  • Alert Hardening & Daily Digest: SQLite state persistence prevents duplicate Telegram/Webhook alert spam upon container restarts, paired with a 21:00 Daily Digest summary.
  • 100% English / Italian Localization: Full audit across all tables, headers, modals, action toasts, and documentation.

Built a local self-hosted web dashboard for my eero network (Docker / open source)

Hey everyone,

I got tired of having to check the mobile app every time I wanted to see signal levels or node statuses, so I put together a simple web dashboard for my own homelab setup. Decided to clean up the code and open-source it in case anyone else finds it useful.

It runs as a lightweight Docker container on your local network. A few things it does right now:

  • Shows mesh topology, node status (wired backhaul vs wireless), and signal quality
  • Displays connected clients with band filters (2.4/5/6GHz), RSSI values, and link rates
  • Manages DHCP reservations and port forwarding
  • Tracks speed test history and latency over time
  • Generates guest Wi-Fi QR codes
  • Optional Telegram alerts for newly connected devices

A quick note on privacy and how it talks to eero: everything runs 100% locally. The container communicates directly with the eero endpoints to fetch your mesh data, and the session token is saved only in your local volume. Nothing is sent to third-party servers.

The project is open-source (MIT license) and you can check out the code here:

It's still an early build, so any feedback, bug reports, or feature ideas are appreciated!
