pill esophagitis/GERD caused by a medication getting stuck

I've had a few acid reflux flare ups before that have been caused by not swallowing pills with enough water or eating while laying down, but they tend to go away fairly quickly.

A week ago now (last Saturday evening), I started getting acid reflux. I tend to experience it in my throat rather than my chest, and because I'd eaten a fairly fatty meal quite quickly, I chalked it up to that: though I had also taken an allergy pill after the meal.

Now, a week on, I'm still having pretty constant acid reflux symptoms. The acid taste/throat burning is consistent, but what's weird is that I've just started to develop typical 'heartburn' chest pain which I haven't really had before, also radiating near my upper back. I have been really stressed lately, so I'm guessing it could just be GERD exacerbation from that, but is it also possible (as weird as it sounds) that the pill got stuck higher up my throat and whatever remnants of it are still in my throat are now slowly moving down, hence the shifting symptoms?

I've been taking Rennie's and gaviscon, they're not having that much effect, and I'm incredibly emetophobic I'd be quite worried about starting a PPI.

Any advice/thoughts?

Thanks!

One of my really big projects has been abandoned for a while because, as much as I love it (it was a gift kit), the pattern is in black and white, meaning I have to really concentrate to make out which shapes designate which colours. It's a gorgeous design (pic attached for what it will look like) but it's so exhausting to do just relying on shapes.

Is there any way to convert a pattern just using shapes into one that also has colours?

Thanks!

I'm using two strands of anchor floss (usually use DMC) but it's looking oddly patchy, like I'm only using one. I started work on this a while back and didn't really notice, and now I'm too far in now to frog and start over. I'm wondering whether this is normal? Will it fluff out with a wash?

Thanks!
