im a late riser and will be joining ktr this year as a day scholar and my parents are worried that i will end up late and miss my classes . how often will i have classes on 8:30 (i heard timing is 8:30) im just afraid i will miss my classes. i will be coming from sub urban electric trains (tambaram sanitorium to potheri)(25 minutes)

I got 73% in CBSE Class 12 boards and I’m joining SRM rmp for Btech CSE Core.
I’ve heard that during campus placements, many top companies have eligibility criteria like 80%+ in Class 12. How much does this actually matter at SRM campus placements?
With 73% in 12th, do I still have a chance of getting placed in packages above 20 LPA? I understand skills, DSA, projects, internships, etc. matter a lot, and I’m ready to work hard, but I’m worried because the fees are high and my parents are expecting a strong placement outcome.
Can seniors/alumni from SRM CSE share their experience? Are there good companies that don’t filter based on 12th marks? Is 20+ LPA realistic with 73% if I maintain a good CGPA and build strong skills?
