This hobby is broken
I’m gonna rant here cause I feel that you guys will understand.
Finally got “lucky” enough to secure a chaos rising booster box preorder from PKC back in April and was super stoked. This was my first time getting anything tcg related on pkc, and this was actually going to be my first English booster box. I collected a bunch as a kid and got back into it around 2023, and started with Japanese BBs but never English cause I liked the guaranteed hits.
Fast forward to yesterday where I get a lovely email while at work stating my preorder has been cancelled. No previous email requesting to fix payment (which was not the issue); radio silence from pkc since i placed the preorder. I finally got a person on their customer service line and they pretty much told me to kick rocks.
Is this normal? What’s the point of a preorder if they’re gonna cancel it? I thought the whole point of a preorder is to like “call dibs” on a box but maybe I’m wrong.
I had to add the pic cause this shit pissed me off. I can’t get one BB to open for enjoyment but scalpers on WN can get cases of them weeks before release.
I’ve always loved pokemon and don’t see myself walking away anytime soon but this shit is starting to get ridiculous.
