Thoughts on this vendor reaction?
I think the way she did this was a bit absurd. What are your thoughts? Was this justified or what?

Can’t even believe this - brand new shelving no clue how this found its way here.
Just short of 3 years my girlfriend and I decided to break up. Over the past year and a half we’ve enjoyed this hobby together. Going to card shows, building our collections, buying singles and of course ripping packs.
Flashback to last summer when I was home at my mother’s house in NJ, I went to a local CVS. They had one singular Lucario knockout box that I decided to buy. Much to my surprise there were 2 packs of Cosmic Eclipse inside for $15. I couldn’t bring myself to open them but I knew a good time would come.
So after a day of pouring our hearts out, crying, grieving, I knew the time was right. One last rip. She went first and pulled the gold Martial Arts Dojo and then I pulled the Pikachu. A goodbye to girlfriend luck and beautiful send-off to something we really enjoyed together.
Since most of them have been revealed, which ones are your favorites or most excited for? Value wise, what do you think would cost the highest?
My personal fav is the Umbreon EX
I had hoped for some of those where the art fills the entire card. I’ve recently been into pokemon again after not having bought anything since 2015-16 ish. So is this like a normal rate? I also bought some chaos rising and got some of those art ones, like the frogadier and chespin and a couple others as well as some ex’s but with this I got none of those art ones :/ eevee and its evolutions are some of my favourite pokemon so I had hoped for some of those. However, there are a lot of really cool “normal” cards that look really cool so it’s not too bad I think
Edit: guys it’s just really expensive in my country😭 I promise I’m not buying from scalpers😓
Edit 2: okay some of you are just mean asf lmao what is you guys’ problems
Is it that hard to believe not everyone lives in a place where things aren’t just expensive as hell no matter if they’re from ebay or not? World’s a pretty big place yknow
Edit 3: this sub sucks ass lmao I’m out of here😂
Use to have hundreds of Pokémon cards from when I was a kid, when they first came out, super sad as my dad turned around and gave them all to my nephew, and now those cards are worth thousands! Anyways I decided for my 40th bday I was going to grab a few Pokémon cards for myself just because!! So just wanted to share what i got....
Journey Together is the first set I started with when getting back into buying packs! Even as I was opening it I was telling my partner (he has zero interest in Pokemon) about this chase card that I could never get so I ended up buying it cheap in a different language and giving up on the set.
It felt really spooky in that moment!
I suspect its quite rare, but I can't find it on ebay, if I type in yellow cheeks I get ones with 1st ed stamp or E3 etc which doesn't match this card. Thanks for your help!
The Komiya one is disturbing....and that's why I need it the most.
I was grocery shopping with my wife today and, on the way out, I stopped at the Pokémon vending machine and tapped the screen. Sold out. Nobody was waiting, so I hung around for the reset, tapped it again, and… still sold out.
As I was walking away to get back in the checkout line, I hear this faint voice behind me
“Mister… mister…”
I turn around and there’s a kid, probably 8–10 years old, looking at me.
“Hey man, it’s not cool to scalp.”
I was legitimately taken aback.
“What are you talking about?”
I almost started defending myself to this child before realizing how ridiculous it would be for a grown man to explain his Pokémon purchasing habits to an 8-year-old.
But I’m not gonna lie… I was actually offended 😂
I’ve never scalped anything. I collect because I enjoy it, and if I’m buying packs and a kid walks up while I’m checking out, I will routinely buy the pack drop for them before because this hobby is way more for them than it is for me.
Anyway, I walked away questioning my entire existence.
Ultimately, fuck that kid.
Haha!
for my Pokédex !! I’d really like to keep these cards in a toploader as some a quite expensive
Are we for real? I went to my local Safeway and to my surprise I saw about 20 packs of Pokémon cards in the garbage with all the cards still there. They were open but they were only missing the good cards. I'm 99% sure this is a problem everywhere but why on earth are people just dumping cards??? When I was a kid I woulda killed to just get the regular old cards like the ones that were thrown out. I checked the Pokémon vending machine and the toy isle and there was no more cards left. Is this what scalping is in the Pokémon TCG community? I was tempted to just grab all of them and take them to give to my 8 year old nephew, who happens to love the cards. It just pissed me off so much and im hoping this is a shared opinion
Been doing a few alters recently to pokémon cards and I wanted to share this one as I'm quite happy with the way it came out!
