for a college all about women empowerment theres way too much sexual harassment on campus
Every other post here is about sexual harassment, especially the godawful frisking which is done and approved BY FACULTY.
I had been frisked this way too and I even complained to a senior faculty after which they didnt peek into our class anymore, but it was a little too late. And it always happens in front of that sardar guy idek who he is, is that some professor or some random tharki? I literally screamed at them and they said “overreact mat karo” abey teri panty mein haath ghusau tu bhi mat kario overreact budhiya tharki. Since i am in 2026 batch i dont have exams anymore, but its so sad to hear its started again.
Ive also been harassed by an event guest and nothing happened there either. just told me to speak if something else happens??? hello???
have always looked at girls in other womens colleges like LSR and Gargi, they would let NONE OF THIS SHIT FLY. Some dudes tried to ENTER their college and they did a massive protest. Idhar toh AUD ke bhadwe ghumte rehte hai ive seen MA creeps hit on fresher girls cuz we are gullible and dont have guys in our groups to fuck with them.
Especially the male profs need to be dealt with asap. even these random chaprasi type guys also have the gall to creep us out. professors are literally so replaceable in this country and in this fuckass college kaunsa koi bada smart prof aa raha hai jisko rakhna zaruri hai.
Be it some creepy male prof or this frisking or even the environment outside the college, we should do our best to speak up. Last year we had a petition about the urinal and tbh they didnt do anything other than build a wall but this shit in college is IN THEIR JURISDICTION and theres no excuse.
get its an engineering college and none of you want to be involved in “college politics” because of priorities or fear of placements, because why else did we even join this college? But trust me if enough people tried to stand up for themselves they wont be able to take action on a whole group of people. Believe me, you will be the ones proud of yourself if we choose to stand up against this bullshit. if the college doesnt take further action we can go to higher authorities like UGC. There is a mandated ICC committee and guess what its non functional here basically.
They ramped up the college for their NAAC gradings, they wouldnt like it if something were to harm their reputations. kuch toh karna hi chahiye reddit pe gaali dene ka kya point hai.
