Every primary and secondary (mods included) weapon ranked (explanation is body text)

Yeah, I know, dead format. But it was either this or a tier list.

Explanations

Prince: Super dependable rifle with great handling and accuracy. 2 shots consistently at range and is one of the only guns that can 2 shot shocktroopers.

Grace: Widely regarded as the best secondary in the game. It does rifle tier damage with pistol handling.

Jesse: Good rifle with a large ammo pool and decent damage, good for staying in the fight longer but struggles at range.

Volk: I LOVE HEADSHOTTING OFFICERS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing damage and built for long range; just make sure you have people watching your back.

Adjudicator: Good 2 shot potential at mid range but falls flat by being somewhat sluggish with a low ammo pool and slow, wasteful reloads.

FOLK...: Prince 2 (now with stripper clips and less shots)

Precision Jesse: Somewhat situational with the bipod, if you don't use it then it's just Jesse with worse handling. Other than that it's still Jesse so it's pretty good.

Honour: One of the most overrated guns in my opinion. The damage is poor and the firerate tries to make up for it. It has zero combo potential as most of the time you need 2 shots to kill someone who is already injured. It can be useful but it's not my top pick for a sidearm.

Hellion: Conflicted. It can be fun to use at times, but most of the time playing against it is a nightmare (much like all shotguns). Also I LOVE SHREDDING DREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negotiator: He throws the gun instead of shooting it! Isn't that comical!?!?!?!!

Union: Fine pistol with good handling, even more so with 2 handed stance. However, it's overshadowed by its 16 round older brother.

Knell: A good secondary option to Grace. Does good damage, accurate, and the suppressor maintains your sneakiness if you're running something like Apparition or Tunnel Rat.

Kingslayer: Funny headshot long reload gun. You get six headshot opportunities, but--saying this as someone who has gilded Kingslayer--you will never get all of them. Low firerate makes follow-up shots damn near impossible; and mind the Beyond Citadel ass reload.

Stocked Union: THE meta gun. 3 shots at basically any range, negligible recoil, and great handling. And did I mention that it has SIXTEEN SHOTS? The only thing holding it back is the paint drying ass reload from empty.

Bandit Knell: Imagine if knell had no suppressor, worse recoil control, and had negligible buffs to firerate and handling.

Insurgent Honour: This is the gun that made me hate Ambidextrous. 20 rounds (40 if Ambi), insane firerate, handling does not matter, everything in front of you will die regardless. And while having no reloads seems like a crippling detriment at first, you then realize you are incentivized to get instant "reloads" from caches, allowing you to continue being a little rat.

Long Negotiator: One shot, one kill, reload, repeat. (it's also the shotgun from Granny)

Talon: It seems like a normal sidearm at first, with some below average recoil control and slow reloads, until you realize how overpowered hipfiring is in this game. You can just shut down any attempts at melee easily.

Okhotnik: He uses ARROWS instead of BULLETS!!!! How comical!!! Imagine if you could use Lancer throwing axes with any class.

Crestfall: Meta gun. fastest 2 shot of any other rifle, but isn't great at range.

Heavion: The most infamous gun in the game. 5 one taps at close range all with fair firerate. Little known fact, Heavion doesn 90 damage at any range due to the ball, meaning that heavion can 3 tap at any range.

Cavalry Talon: Talon but it's made for aiming and handling rather than hipfire. It's decent, but nowhere near the other stocked handgun mod.

Ranger Crestfall: Okay it isn't THAT bad, but mobility while aiming is not important enough to have it be the entire gimmick of a gun.

Chudgement: Don't get me wrong, I'm a little rat who loves getting headshots with Judgement, but playing against it really just isn't fun at all (unless they're using the 3 dollar lancer build and stabbing people with the bayonet).

Cavalry Sword: Hot take, Cavalry sword has the most aura out of any weapon in the game. Running in and executing 5 unaware people before they even have a chance to aim at you is one of the greatest highs of all time. Just pray you don't run into any shotguns.

Hope: I may be a little biased because I have 2000 kills with Hope, but it's one of the most satisfying guns to perform well with. hitting headshots on officers, 3 shotting people who get too close, comboing it with Jesse or Prince; the choices are endless with Hope.

Whisper: It's an okay rifle. The autoloader allowing for a fast firerate gives it some niches with cover fire and support roles, but other than that it's kinda underwhelming in terms of effectiveness. If you want a silenced weapon, Knell is right there.

Auclair: The MOST UNDERRATED weapon in my opinion. When you use it right, you basically have a mini Crestfall. It does great damage at range, the firerate is impeccable and allows for quick follow-ups, and the accuracy isn't bad if you know where to aim. The two stances aren't all too different, but one handed does have aura so it gets extra points for that.

Chudquine: In the beta (cave game), Equine was originally referred to as the "Coach gun," and that will forever be engraved into my head as I remember each time I got one shot while trying to learn the game mechanics. I have so much trauma from that, now I refuse to use stock Equine under any circumstances.

Incendiary Judgement: He shot them and they started BURNING!!!!!!! Isn't that WACKY!?!?!?!?! Incen Judgement is for people who suck at follow up shots so they need to make it easier.

Flyboy Whisper: Largest ammo pool for a normal gun, but subpar damage and firerate debilitate it. Not to mention the reload time, especially for the final five rounds. Can be cool for staying in the fight, but I'd much rather use Jesse for high ammo count.

Sawed Equine: Is it just me, or does Sawed Equine feel fair to use? I actually have to plan my attacks before I go in, and I have to accommodate for recoil in-between shots (or the recoil from double shots). It makes kills feel deserved rather than just one taps.

And that's all the explanations for each weapon. If you believe I'm wrong and stupid and that Bandit Knell is actually goated, let me know in the comments or something.

i said hellion was gross

and it very much is because it removes one of the two major drawbacks from shotguns

the ammo count

getting 7 (or 5 with heavion) rounds before needing to reload makes it so you can just wipe entire groups with no drawbacks

and don't give me that "BUT MUH RANGE!!!111!" because it's extremely easy to get in close to anyone or even bait people into getting close and then giving them the light of god with hellion

"hey devs, get me volk with extra reload speed"

"extra reload speed?"

"and hold the scope"

"hold the scope?"

"and hold the inverse damage"

"hold the inverse damage--hey red! get me volk with nothing!"

"nothing?"

frontline volk is just prince 2: fast reload edition

Does anyone know what the song that plays on the nation radio is? I've been trying to find the source for so long now.

I can't stop searching for this ice cream truck ass song and I really need some closure.

Even more strange occurrences in legacy

This legacy rabbit hole is far deeper than I initially thought, and there seems to be much more to uncover. I don’t know who added these things or why, but I’m gonna figure out what the purpose of all this is.

  1. This strange sword

I just started a run, and I went up the mountain to get the knife for evac. But when I got there, the knife was replaced by this sword. It’s a reskinned knight’s honor, being blue instead of the usual red. When I interacted with it, I got this weird message, I was completely confused.

  1. Guy in a pod???

I thought I wasn’t going to be able to evac, so I didn’t bother killing sq. So imagine my surprise when I saw that the lab was open somehow, even though I never interacted with it. The lab was completely empty, not a single cultist, but there was something that I never saw before. In the server room on the left, instead of a crate or whatnot, there was some guy in some kind of pod or chamber thing. I don’t know who that guy was, and I don’t know if I’ll get any clear answers.

  1. A new map?????

After I interacted with that guy, I got teleported to a new place. All my stats were reset, but I still had my items. This new map was nothing like DW at all, it was like I was playing a whole new game. After wandering around aimlessly for a bit, I got a random AGENT message, but there was no accompanying voice line. I was starting to feel a little bit uncomfortable, thinking something was about to jumpscare me or something. Eventually, though, I found a bridge, and someone or something was standing at the other end. I wanted to see who it was, but I was met with that “I shouldn’t get any closer” message. I decided not to heed that warning, however, and I found out why that warning existed in the first place. I was immediately shot at, sounding like the turrets at the safe area, melting my health instantly. I just sat there, shocked for a moment before being booted back to legacy’s main menu.

Legacy has some insane secrets; I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to list them all. But I’ll continue searching, I’ll see what else I can find, and maybe figure out who’s behind this.

More strange legacy finds

Ever since I accidentally triggered some kind of Sephiroth boss fight in legacy, I’ve been encountering all kinds of strange things that I’ve never seen before.

  1. This “Michelle” npc

After I got murdered by Sephiroth, I restarted and found this npc in the safe zone side room. I don’t know what she does, I tried giving her blueprints because I assumed that’s what she wanted, but she only had a few messages when I interacted with her. When I tried to switch perks to tickspider (because of the tick on the table), she disappeared when I spawned back in.

Does anyone know who this is? I couldn’t find anything about her, She seems more DW-related.

  1. Kingdom key???

During an evac run, I switched to my empty melee slot, and this melee called “Kingdom Key” just spawned in. Its light and heavy swing speed is really fast, and it does extremely good damage (enough to kill most scavs in 2 light swings-1 light combo), and its shove is similar to the reaper’s scythe (can stagger multiple enemies and does damage, but doesn’t dash forward). Again, I have no idea how I triggered this, but I was unable to replicate it.

I don’t know how many new things were added in legacy, but hopefully I (or someone else) can help find all the things that were hidden.

I was replaying legacy then this message showed up and this guy appeared on night 10???

I was just playing through the game normally, trying to get solo evac. I just cleared lab and was waiting for the wave when that message appeared and this guy showed up as the only enemy. I have no idea how I triggered him since I did the exact same thing last round but died on night 10. He dealt so much damage, even with tac armor and green stim. I managed to get him to his second phase, but then he did some kind of explosion which flashbanged my whole screen and I died instantly. His theme music was really cool tho, lol.

Who is this guy??? Was this a scrapped DW character that got added to legacy? If so, does he have lore, or is he just there?
