I am going to complete 5 years in software industry in coming months. First three years I worked in a service based org (here I didn't get much chances of working on good projects)

Then I switched to a mid size PBC but there things didn't work out there they lowballed me but had to join due to lack of offers, and after joining that org I got call from another Service based company.

They were paying me around 18 LPA base and 1 L JB. It's been a year and the work was decent enough so far, I was chilling mostly. Then I got an opportunity to work part time as instructor along with that I got another opportunity to join an org as contractual software engineer. From these side hustles I am able to make more than 1 LPM and my combined take home amount for a month is 2.25 L.

Now I got a very interesting project in my primary job where things are around data streaming.

Currently I am living with my parents and life is chill but when I see my friends working in PBC making loads of money, having a brand value attached to them I really feel that I have lagged behind and I need to buckle up. But then comes reels on my insta showing how bad it is in cities like Bombay, Bangalore, Hyderabad. Then comes the fact that it is a crucial age to experience this. Plus I do not want to stay in SBC for this long. I really want to join companies like amazon, google which used to be a dream since my college days.

I am too confused, please help me in deciding what should I do. Should I switch or wait for some time.

I am currently working as a software engineer. I have a full time job and 2 side hustles. For One side hustle I take the amount in my mom's account, the second side hustle money comes in my account.

First side hustle amount - 50k Fixed (earning since august 2025)

Second side hustle amount - it may vary based on number of hours I put. so you can consider ranging it between 55k to 75k

Today I got to know from my client of second side hustle that I can take this amount in my family member's bank.

I am thinking of taking this amount too in my mother's account.

Total amount for one financial year will be around 12-13 Lakhs.

What do you think will it create any issue, like can ITD send me notice or something to show the proof of work and all?
