Signed up for the Target Circle Debit card, got approved instantly. Set it up using "instant account verification" wherein you sign into your bank account through their third party provider that links it for you. I used my card twice with no issue then a couple days later I go to pay and my card declines at the register and they have no idea why, and I have no idea because my bank account has money enough. I go to the website and see it returned "R03-No Account/Unable to Locate". So I decide to re-enter my bank info and verify with the "manual" method of entering my checking and routing and then waiting 2 days for them to send a test deposit to my account. 2 days later it goes through properly. Then I call their support. First guy transfers me to his supervisor. They tell me I have an outstanding debt to be collected on my account. I explain everything again to them and the service rep figures it out, and tells me I'm the third person today to call with the same issue, and it seems like it adds extra zeroes to the account number, thus giving them a useless, invalid bank account number. So PSA to anyone signing up for the Circle Debit card using the "instant bank account verification"

TL;DR - Don't use "instant bank account verification" when you sign up for the Circle Debit card
