You take MONTHS to get someone into forever friends then once you deal the trade you have to interact for months afterwards. This is way too much of a grind for a singular trade. Why does Niantic think this is a balanced idea? No other pokemon game does this when it comes to trading. This should definitely be reworked.
I don’t have a shiny Froakie but I do have two shiny Virizion.
My rationale was that I want a good shiny Mega Greninja because it’s actually useful, whereas shiny Virizion is genuinely useless (PvE at least, I know it’s good in Ultra League).
So my thought is that the only reason I would want to hold onto it is if I can get something even better in trade value for it in the future. But who the heck wants shiny Virizion???
My friend still insists I’m being ripped off because Froakie is a comm day mon and Virizion is a legendary and much rarer.

I've played some of the mainline games when I was a kid. I've only started Pokemon Go a week ago at most, and today I found out there was an event.
Honestly, I never expected to get not one, but TWO shiny Zorua not even 10 mins apart!!! My first ever shiny was unexpected haha. Especially with the transformation gimmick.
Odds are usually one in hundreds. I know it probably gets easier during events, but I'm still quite happy!

Read somewhere that dynamax meltan has been added into the game. But it doesnt state the date. Are we getting this during Wild Area? What do you guys think?

Anyone else's community's just seem to not care for the event as a whole? We had record low check ins for a community day and frankly I think this might have been the worst one ever? The paid ticket tasks took zero effort since we could choose what we got to "catch". The shiny rates seemed some how worse for a lot of my locals. It just all around felt like a waste of a community day this whole event was a let down
Kind of lost the will to play... got majority of stuff I wanted, not chasing variants and costumed ones, semi-casual play. This hyper training has been somewhat a reason to turn it on past 2 months because I really wanted a shiny 100%, and now it's done feels like I completed the game.
