Early evening high drama on the HWY 26 Multi Use Path

Around 6pm-ish, Thurs 5/21:

This was where the trail crosses over the freeway, the Camelot Ct bridge by the cemetery. Coming up Pointer and then turning over the bridge, I see a black sports car pulling out of the cemetery. As I get closer he flashes some blue and red cop looking lights at me, I naively assumed this was an actual cop so I move to get out of the way, like off the car road by turning right onto the trail where it continues on the cemetery side. Imagine my surprise when he blows past me onto the trail and drives at a high rate of speed... down the trail. (This is the second time I've ever seen someone driving on the 26 MUP, first guy mustve got on from Park way by mistake, he seemed genuinely lost and confused. At least he was driving slow) ... I'm standing there sort of shocked and looking down the hill trying to see if he's run over any dog walkers or moms pushing strollers, then I turn around and there's a Beaverton PD squad car with his lights on by the gate, cop getting out.
I asked him, gesturing at the dust cloud left by the person going 50+ down a pedestrian/bike trail "how is that at all legal?"

"It's not. I was pursuing him, but it's not safe to continue. We'll get him next time".. which, tbh, is fair I guess. I told him I'd call if I saw this guy again on my way to Washington park. Fortunately as I continued down the trail past Sylvan I didn't see any ambulances or anything, but, sheesh.

Keep your eyes open, there's some psychos out there. Who pretend to be cops, apparently.
