Funny story about antimalarials
Visited Ghana for about a month a few years ago. Beautiful country, beautiful people. Halfway through I ran out of antimalarials (which I had planned for) and went to a pharmacy.
I had a medical appointment when we got back to the States and told the doc about it. She asked what meds I was given in Ghana, looked it up and informed me that it was medicine to *treat* malaria. Not to prevent it.
I asked, so am I ok? She said well, I've never seen anyone do this before but you probably don't have malaria.
Thanks doc!
