Does anyone else regularly end the day with more cash than revenue?
One of my duties I regularly end the shift with more cash than I’ve actually brought in. Today I’ve come out with just over £50 mostly in notes but only made £44 in revenue. This means I have a £10 note spare and I’m short some coins for tomorrow’s duty.
For cash buses, do you ‘own’ your float, or do you have change issued per duty?
Kingston Park gridlocked, temp lights mistimed
Kingston Park is gridlocked again, traffic is queued all the way back to the A1 slip roads and A167 at J77. It appears that the temp lights have reverted to their default timings and are not letting enough cars through from the shops. The green light on that side is definitely shorter than it has been, I’ve called traffic management and they have a team coming to look at it.
First solo day
I’ve just been signed off yesterday by management and today will be my first full day working solo. I’m a bit anxious but I’m sure it’ll turn out ok and I’ve got my favourite route all afternoon.
So a question for the veteran’s, how did you find your first day/week/month after getting signed off?
It’s that time of year where I count the cars without headlights
So far 3 tonight, two were young drivers in older cars so I hope they just forgot to turn them on. One was a taxi which quite clearly had both headlights burnt out as it had dim DRL’s and taillights.
