A suggestion

I’ve seen a lot of people post here saying they need a friend, but most of those posts barely get any traction. Eventually, the subreddit just turns into another inactive “looking for friends” space.

Instead of only posting about needing friends, why not use this subreddit to simply talk? Vent about something that ruined your day, share something that made you unexpectedly happy, rant about life, work, relationships, loneliness, achievements — anything.

The idea is to let the threads fill up with random people consoling, suggesting, relating, or just listening. And if you genuinely connect with someone, you can always move to DMs later.

And even if nothing comes out of it, so what? You got something off your chest, someone heard you out, and maybe you felt a little lighter afterward. No harm in that.

What do you all think?

I’ve been around this sub for a bit, and I’ve posted here before too. It kinda feels like most people are just looking for quick chats to pass time.

Nothing wrong with that… just not what I’m here for.

If your head feels a bit crowded and you just need a place to dump your thoughts — I’m here. You don’t have to organize anything or make it sound nice. Just say it how it comes.

I’m not going to judge you. I won’t overanalyze unless you actually want a different perspective. If you do, I’ll try to help with that too.

Also, no pressure on timing. We can talk at our own pace — reply whenever you can, no expectations to be constantly online.

Totally platonic. Just a stranger who’s willing to listen.
