33/F/Married with Kids

Hi. I just need a friend I can be myself with. Someone I can call out of the blue and talk to about everything, nothing, or anything in between. I love to read. I am an aspiring writer. I am a greater listener, but can prattle on and on about the same subject if I get comfortable with you. Honestly, I have so many contacts in my phone and not one I feel like I can call on when times are tough (which has been a lot more frequently lately). Id ust appreciate a friend I could be book buddies with or just share my day with.

M23 never been this lonely

Hi everyone,

This is a little awkward for me to put into words, but I want to be open.

I’m a 23-year-old man from the south of the UK, and recently I’ve been struggling with a deep sense of loneliness. Over time, I’ve gradually drifted away from people, and my social circle has become very small. Many days feel empty and quiet, and it’s been taking an emotional toll on me.

In particular, I miss having genuine, meaningful connection with women — not in a romantic or sexual sense, but in a human, emotional way. I miss warm conversations, mutual understanding, and feeling comfortable sharing thoughts and everyday experiences with someone who sees things from a different perspective.

A lot of the time, I feel like I’m standing on the sidelines while life moves forward for everyone else — watching others build friendships, relationships, and memories. It makes me feel left behind and like there’s something wrong with me, even though I try my best to be kind and open to others.

I’m not looking for anything dramatic or instant. I’d simply love to have someone to talk to, to gradually build a connection with, and to remind me that I’m not invisible.

If you’ve ever felt lonely yourself, or if you’re open to a sincere conversation, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.

Thank you for reading 🤍

34F | Tell me something you wouldn't normally tell a stranger

I'm 34F and I've realized I'm much better at getting to know people when we skip the usual interview questions. I don't really care what your favorite color is or what you do for work five minutes after meeting you 😂 Tell me something you could talk about for hours, something ridiculous that happened to you this week, a thought that's been stuck in your head, or just whatever you actually feel like talking about tonight. I'm an introvert, but once I'm comfortable I can talk about almost anything. If you're also tired of conversations dying after three messages, just say hi and give me something to work with 😄

19F seeking out people to talk and long term friends

Hii I’m 19F from the UK looking for friends around a similar age to me between 19-30 and from around Europe and the UK for potential meet-ups but this is not a must!

I am someone that likes to put focus and time on people to build a long term connection and am looking for a friend that can reciprocate this. I will not be answering friend requests with “hey” as I see this as someone who is likely not to put effort into a friendship but I am not by all means expecting any long worded essays!

Of course, I know a list of interests can only ever be a snapshot of who someone is, but I suppose it gives you a rough idea of the kind of person I am.
In terms of my interests I am really into psychology, I just find it so fascinating how the mind and the brain control so much of our behaviour and how we function in reality. I am also very spiritual and love learning about religions and ancient history and philosophy to gain better understanding of who we are as a collective and reality. Besides from that I love learning about anything to do with health science, animals.

I like to take care of myself through working out and doing yoga but I also like being creative playing music as well as listening to music, reading, gaming and watching movies.

I’d describe myself as quite calm, friendly and on the quieter side personality wise. I’m also a Taurus for those that are interested in astrology.

I look forward to meeting you!

23f, tired of being the only person in my friend group who's single and childfree, need people my speed

Not looking for anything dating related, just want friends who are at a similar life stage. I'm into hiking, true crime, and baking things that occasionally turn out edible. Looking for people to hang out with regularly.

I don't really know what I'm doing anymore

I'm 20M, and lately I've been feeling really lost, lonely, and disconnected from everything.

I feel like I've slowly become disconnected from the people around me. I have friends, but I don't really feel close to anyone anymore. Sometimes I want to talk to someone, but I don't even know who I'd talk to.

I've been struggling with social anxiety for years now. I overthink almost every interaction I have with people. I worry about saying something stupid, making things awkward, or being judged. Sometimes I have something I want to say, but I just can't get the words out properly. I've also noticed lately that I sometimes struggle to explain myself or speak naturally, even when I know exactly what I want to say. I have no gf or any real friend who cares about me. being in public makes me nervous, my heart starts racing. I don't know when it started but I think it was during covid.

Another thing that's been bothering me is that I don't really enjoy games anymore. the only scape I had...

Gaming used to be one of my main ways to relax. But lately I'll launch a game, stare at the menu, and just not feel like playing. It's weird because I still like games and I'm interested in them, but I don't get the same enjoyment from them anymore. Sometimes I play anyway just because I don't know what else to do.

I used to be really passionate about swimming too. I did it competitively for around 12 years, and it was a huge part of my identity. Eventually I stopped, and since then I've been trying to figure out who I am and what I actually want to do with my life. I'm also slowly getting out of shape.

There's also the situation in my country. Living here has been difficult for a long time, and things like economic problems, instability, internet restrictions, power outages, and the general lack of opportunities have made me feel like my future is uncertain. I really want to leave eventually and build a better life somewhere else, but that's not something I can just do overnight.

All of this has kind of piled up.

My sleep schedule is a mess, I spend a lot of time alone, I procrastinate a lot, and sometimes I feel like I'm just wasting my time while everyone else is moving forward.

I'm not posting this because I expect someone to fix my problems. I honestly don't even know exactly what I'm looking for.

I guess I just wanted to put everything into words somewhere, because keeping it all in my head has been getting exhausting.

Maybe someone else has gone through something similar.

Trying to find my GF a friend!

So my gf (19F)is struggling to find friends - it’s a long story but since leaving college and because of her area she’s been pretty lonely
She’s been looking for people on Reddit before but all she gets is guys trying to talk to her without even reading her posts
So here I am because she can’t be bothered anymore
Any women based in the UK between 18-23 please message she’s the best girl in the world I promise she can be so funny and smart but is pretty introverted at first
She adores movies, books and photography and most things artsy
She knows ball when it comes to movies and wants a friend to go out with and do things and train so she can try and beat me at pool

[16F] Looking for genuine best friend (17-18 M/F) for deep conversations & slow connection.

About Me:

• Name: Star (no real name until I trust you)

• Age: 16 | Gender: Female

• MBTI: INFP-T | Language: English (second language)

• Interests: Reading fiction (romance fantasy, manhwas, anime, mystery) and human psychology.

• Vibe: I love active, deep conversations about life, stories, human nature, or our perspectives. I appreciate people who are grounded, witty, and actually care about understanding how people think.

What I'm Looking For:

A guy or a girl friend (strictly 17-18) who is mature, self-aware, and values integrity—someone able to hold themselves accountable, apologize, and fix things instead of spiraling into guilt. Someone who takes care of themselves (mind and lifestyle), respects autonomy, and can handle disagreements calmly without debating. Someone who is single (not currently in a relationship and not recovering from a recent breakup or heartbreak).

I really value emotional honesty and intelligence, self-respect, and consistency—people whose actions match their words. I want to build a deep, genuine best-friendship first that slowly grows naturally over time.

• Preferred MBTI: ENTP, ENFJ, INTJ (favorites!), ENFP, ENTJ, INTP, ESTJ, ISFP. Open to every type except INFPs! (I'm sorry, I love you guys.) Also, I don't take MBTI personality types too seriously; it's just how our brain is wired rather than our whole personality.

My Boundaries:

• Text only: No calls, video, or face reveals until we really trust each other or feel comfortable enough.

• Consistency and Effort: No one-word replies, dry texting, or ghosting. Please write in complete sentences and show real effort.

• Respect for Space: Daily chatting is great, but mutual respect for recharge breaks is needed—just give me a quick heads-up before disappearing for days. Also, I'm here to be your friend, not your therapist, so don't ask me for advice on what you are going through. I'm happy to share my thoughts and be there for you, though. I take friendships seriously.

If you are interested in getting to know me and building a real, high-integrity friendship, please comment below your detailed intro, including your age, timezone, MBTI, and more about yourself so I know you read this. My DMs are closed for my safety, so I will reply to your comment asking you to DM me if I'm interested in your intro!

25M , Dhaka ,Bangladesh Somewhere between surviving and living, I’m looking for my kind of human.

Okay, this might sound oddly specific, but I’m looking for someone who is genuinely alive.

Not exactly a girlfriend. Not exactly a hookup partner either. Just someone with a similar way of looking at life.

Someone a little boho, a little nomadic. Someone who actually travels instead of just saving travel reels. Maybe into reggae, blues, folk, late 70s/80s rock or classic rock. Maybe plays an instrument, badly or brilliantly......

I’m especially drawn to people who make things. Sewing, repairing clothes, photography, cooking, music, writing, DIY, restoring old stuff or anything. I really people who have that instinct to create instead of just consume.

once Van Gogh said, “I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.”
I think I understand that very much now...

I once had a clear plan to graduate, go abroad, build a career, do everything “right.” Then life took a different turn: I dropped out, started a business, faced money problems, sleepless nights and losses, and had to rebuild more than once.....

and yes,I care about money and building something sustainable, obviously.
But I don’t want life to become: work - earn - consume - sleep and repeat this fucking things....

I want to travel sometimes. Learn random things for no practical reason. Discover strange little places. Make music. Sit somewhere for hours talking absolute nonsense and then somehow end up discussing life, death, art, money, God or why humans are so weird.

I’d love to meet a woman around my age who is curious, independent and comfortable with not having everything figured out.
Maybe we become friends. Maybe travel buddies. Maybe something more. Maybe nothing romantic at all...

If this sounds a little like you, say hi. Let’s see where the conversation goes!..

24F | Need someone who’ll just be there

I miss having someone I can just be myself with. Someone I can talk to on a random Tuesday when life is busy, or sit with on a quiet day when there is nothing much happening to talk about. Someone with whom I can disappear for a few days or even weeks and come back to the same comfort without things feeling different.

I understand that life gets busy. We all have work, responsibilities and our own things going on. I am not looking for constant conversations or someone who needs to be available all the time. I just want a friendship that feels mutual and easy, where both people genuinely want to stay connected.

I love singing, dancing, working out, cooking, drawing and reading, though I hardly get enough time for any of them these days. I am not really into anime or gaming atp.

I get attached quite easily, probably because when I care about someone, I care deeply. Most of the friendships I have had were deep, but life changed, people changed and somewhere along the way, those connections faded.

I think I am just looking for something new and genuine. A friendship that brings a little warmth and excitement back into life. Someone to share random thoughts with, laugh with, make plans with and occasionally do absolutely nothing with.
