Need advice for Quebec guarantor on an auto loan

My mom agreed to be a guarantor for someone’s car loan about a year ago, and there are still around 3 years left on the loan.

The borrower has already been late multiple times, with delays going up to 2 months. These late payments are now showing up on my mom’s credit report and her credit score has dropped. She’s also been getting messages from the bank asking her to make payments on a car that she doesn’t even own.

The borrower seems to have bought a car that was way outside of what she could realistically afford. She has now blocked my mom and basically refuses to communicate with her.

My mom had excellent credit before this, and now she’s having problems when applying for loans because these late payments are showing on her credit report.

Is there anything my mom can actually do to protect herself or get out of the guarantee? She has kind of given up on doing anything about it because a bank employee told her there was nothing she could do. I tried looking into it online, but it’s been pretty difficult to find precise and reliable information about her legal rights as a guarantor in Quebec.

I’m thinking about talking to a lawyer and possibly sending a formal demand letter (mise en demeure), partly to put some pressure on the borrower to start making the payments on time. I’m just not sure if that would actually accomplish anything or if there are other options we should be looking into.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone in Quebec who has dealt with something similar or knows the law. I’m honestly not sure how we should proceed, especially with another 3 years left on the loan.

Is that considered view botting?

I need around a 30% Tier 1 country audience to qualify for a Whop campaign, but I usually sit at about 25%. I realized I could run TikTok ads for like $5-10 targeted only at Tier 1 countries, which would boost my analytics enough to meet the requirement. I average 50k–100k views per video, so spending 10 bucks per videos would be a good investment.

The rules say they don’t allow view botting, but TikTok ads aren’t bots, they’re real people watching the video, and the promotion is done directly through TikTok. Do you think this would be considered cheating or could get me banned from the campaign?
