Adding more sound settings

Recently I installed Albion Online on Xbox and the first thing that struck me when I first launched it was how good the game looked like, at least compared to low settings that I use on my PC (AO can be choppy in ZvZ with higher settings).

Second thing that struck me was music. Guess what - Albion has a music, and its pretty good acutally. Why was that a suprise? Because sound is a huge factor in PvP, it allows you to hear people in black zones way before you can see them, giving you the edge. The first thing I did when coming back to AO was turning off all music and ambient sounds, and thats whats recommended by almost any beginners guide out there.

So how about adding new audio settings and splitting music and ambient sound sliders into lethal and non lethal zones, similar to how cosmetic works? This way you can hear music in royals/rests/hideouts and so on, while still being able to roam black zones and being able to hear gankers/other roamers.

This is much you can earn doing RZ faction warfare

Hello there!

I'm a returning player and wanted to check out faction warfare after the changes, since I haven't played since the server split and started from zero on a new server. In doing so, I wanted to show new players lethal zones from a different perspective—not by giving them an estimate of profits per hour, but by showing how much you can get out of it if you "invest" in gear. Why? Well, I love lethal zones and I strongly believe that everyone should give them a try, since it's how the game is supposed to be played. I am aware that for new players, the biggest obstacle to overcome is the fear of losing gear, so perhaps this will help them change their minds.

I bought 10 sets for roughly 100k per set (totaling around 1 million), put them in a bank tab, and deposited everything I got from red zones in a separate, dedicated bank tab just to find out how much I could earn before I ran out of sets.

I jumped into red zones and started following the zerg. Quickly, I found it to be really boring and switched to going near the zerg (mine or enemy), trying to catch stragglers. During bigger fights, I looked for an opening, picked up victims, stole chests from camps, and while nothing was going on, generally roamed, killed mobs, and did a few solo dungeons, etc.

So... what are the numbers, you might ask?

Let's start with expenses. One million for sets, the repair bill for loot was 644,955 silver; let's add teleport costs and consumables and round it up to 2 million.

Now for the profits:

  • 15,335,031 silver worth of loot
  • 4,199,000 in raw silver (bags)
  • 81 faction chests, which gave me 5,432,161 silver

The total was 24,886,192, of which (and I can't stress this enough) 9,551,161 silver was in silver bags and faction points; this means that even if I were to die every time without bringing back any loot, I would still have at least those.

But that is not the best part. As the saying goes—"silver comes and goes, fame stays." When I started, I had almost no specialization in this build (fresh account) and I used every tome from camps instantly, getting my specs into the mid-80s. On top of that, I saved the tomes from the faction chests, and now I can instantly put 20,550,000 fame into any spec I want—for ZvZ, PvE, or whatever—so I progressed the account pretty nicely.

On top of that, I learned a few things too. Like I said, I am a returning player and I had no idea about the current meta (shapeshifters and crystal weapons were all new to me), yet I managed to get 17 kills, which I consider to be pretty good.

Soo.. what are YOU waiting for? Leave the yellow zones, jump in to red or black zones and start enjoying the game.
