New concealed shower nightmare
We’ve had a string of problems with our extension build over the last year - including our builder going bust and leaving us in the sh*t.
Anyway the latest (and hopefully) last thing we’re dealing with is the plumbing in our en-suite.
Last week we discovered - after it was tiled - that the cold water feed for the cistern, was actually a hot water feed. Hmmm cosy
Anyway we managed to sort that as there was access to where the pipes tee’d off
Now we’ve come to the shower - which is a concealed thermostatic style. Guess what - yes it looks like the cold and hot inlets have been plumbed wrong way round.
When you run the shower it’s either scalding hot or freezing cold - nothing in between
Stupidly - I did test before tiling, but assumed when it ran warm all was good 🙄
So - before I strip the tiles off and hack away at the wall to re-route the pipes - any thoughts on if this might be fixable via a less disruptive method?
The hot and cold inlet pipes run in the ceiling (concrete base) and then down the walls.
