[TOMT] [TV/MOVIE] Help me figure out what the rest of this quote is and where its from please (maybe parks and rec?)

I really cant remember what this is from, the only part of the quote I can remember is "as my father said to me when I left home" or something very similar. I think the next thing they said was something kinda basic like be kind or be respectful but I am not sure.

I think maybe its from parks and rec, mainly because I swear I can hear it so vividly and I think maybe Ron says it. I could be totally wrong though. I'm not sure what the context of the scene was either unfortunately.

I know thats basically nothing to go on, but googling hasn't gotten me anywhere.

How to find housing in expensive areas

I just got a job offer in Utah working at Zion National Park. The pay isn't great, so im trying to figure out how to find shared housing in the area to make it more affordable.

How do I do that? Ive never had to look for rooms for rent or anything so I am at a total loss here, I live in Missouri so I've got a big move coming (they want me to stay less than a month from now) and I have so much to figure out.

I really want this job and I am determined to make this work, any advice would be appreciated!

Housing?

Just got a job offer in the area, trying to find housing within 30-45 minutes of the park. Any ideas? I would like to do a short-term (6 month) lease but could do 12 month if needed. Any alternative ideas instead of just getting an apartment?

Places to find job postings

I've been applying to jobs through the Great Basin Institute,Conservation Job board, American Conservation Experience (EPIC), and most recently scientists in parks. Any ideas on other places I should look for job postings?

For reference I graduated in December with a degree in Environmental Health and Safety and a minor in Biology. Still not sure what I want to do, so im applying to anything that sounds like I might enjoy it. I've applied to several hydrology jobs, Environmental education jobs, natural resource management stuff aswell, and other things here and there.

I've had several interviews (like 5 I think) 1 job offer (I turned it down) and I am currently waiting to hear back from 2 jobs.
