Is 41 too late to go back to college?

I’m 41 years old, and lately, I’ve been seriously thinking about going back to college and finally finishing my degree.

I stopped studying in 4th year BSBA – Financial Management back in 2016 because of financial problems. I was so close to finishing, but life happened, and I had to prioritize earning.

Fast forward to today, I’m currently earning around ₱100K/month as a virtual assistant, and thankfully, I’m in a much better financial position now.

But there’s still a part of me that wants to go back and finish what I started.

One thing I’m also wondering about is whether my subjects from 2016 can still be credited. I checked the current curriculum, and it looks like most of my major subjects could still be credited, which makes me hopeful that I wouldn’t have to start from scratch.

For those who have experience with returning to college after several years, especially those who stopped in their 3rd or 4th year:

Do you think my old subjects can still be credited?

Has anyone here gone back to the University of Cebu after many years?

Was the process of evaluating/transferring your old subjects difficult?

And most importantly, was it worth going back and finishing your degree?

At 41, I can’t help but wonder:

Is it still worth it? Or am I too late?

Considering that I’m already earning around ₱100K/month as a VA, would spending the time, money, and energy to finish my degree still be a good investment?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been in a similar situation. ❤️

If you were in my shoes, would you go back and finish the degree? Why or why not?
