High school junior looking for Aerospace Engineering opportunities.

I am an aspiring AE, and although I feel my resume and demonstrated interest in engineering are strong, all of my major opportunities for this summer either rejected me or were cut due to government funding issues.

If anyone here knows of any aerospace, nuclear, materials science, or mechanical engineering internships or camps or research opportunities for this summer - preferably in Pennsylvania but not entirely required - I would be so grateful if you could share them with me.

I know we are really close to the summer for me to be looking still, but all 3 major things I applied to were delayed by at least a month, with the last one letting me know of their cancelation today after being told I would be notified in January-mid March.

SEAP (maybe only NAWCAD) canceled

So, after waiting for months after they said results would be out, and almost 8 weeks since they said it would be a "few weeks" until they started sending stuff out, I finally just emailed the only lab I applied to.

Keep in mind, I am not sure this means all of SEAP is canceled, but NAWCAD in Patuxent River Maryland definitely is. This email was a reply from the manager of the NAWCAD SEAP operation after I directly emailed them.

While I am super disappointed that I didnt get in, as this program could have helped me get into my dream college, I am more annoyed than anything. My family has been stressing out so much about this, and I had to directly email the United States Navy just to know that no one is going to NAWCAD this year.

If you applied to SEAP this year, EMAIL THE LEAD AT YOUR LOCATIONS. If you let it go, they may wait another month to tell you if anyone is even able to go to your location. Just email so you can have the peace of mind of knowing.

I'm sorry to anyone who has been waiting for results to an internship that was canceled.

Rant done.
