Google assist stroke

Google assist stroke

Just had the funniest Google stroke ever. The ai assist was helping me locate Riolu in Legends ZA. It helped me find it then claimed the whole thing wasn't real. 💀

And to top it off, apparently we gotta pay up to sit on a bench now. Taxes are getting wild in Lumiose.

Stoke mid gameplay assist

Just had the funniest Google stroke ever. The ai assist was helping me locate a Pokémon in Legends ZA (which I'm currently playing right now.) It helped me find the Pokémon then claimed the whole thing wasn't real. 💀

And to top it off, that "bench method" it mentioned does not cost money. You just sit on a bench to respawn Pokémon.

Experience with Longsqueak so far.

I have been using the new model today and would like to share my thoughts on my experience with it so far.

First of all, I'd like to say I definitely think this is a step in the right direction. A lot of the issues I have with Deepsqueak are fixed with this model. It's actually narrating in detail, both the character's perspective and actions. Deepsqueak had a tendency to just repeat specific reactions and habits, such as "fingers twitch almost imperceptibly," or "the ghost of a smirk." Longsqueak has been pretty creative and descriptive with its narration for me.

It's also great at picking up context from the lorebook and definitions. Today, the character from my bot smacked me across the back of the head. I was so used to this not making it into my roleplays, it caught me off guard. I forgot I put this as a habit of casual reprimand in his definitions. I was pleased to see that make it into the roleplay and it gave me a good laugh. This model doesn't seem afraid of action from what I'm seeing so far.

I do have some negatives I'd like to mention though.

Firstly, the repetitive responses. It does seem to become set on a specific outcome in each message. I've been experimenting with it, adding on more detail to my messages to try and change the outcomes. So far I haven't found that this makes much of a difference. If your message has a lot of detail, you might get one paragraph that focuses on different parts of your message. However, I find that the outcome of its response will remain the same on most swipes.

Secondly, flexibility. Although I do think it has been very creative in the way it describes things, I am finding that it struggles with reading the room. The set mood has been quite repetitive. I'm personally struggling to push it outside of comedy and into some tension. I'd really like to see the level of narration it has expressing more feeling, rather than just objective pushing/comedic descriptions. My scene started off comedic, but it seems set on staying this way rather than adapting the tone. I also find that it's reluctant to slow down the scene when obstacles are introduced. Sometimes, it feels like it's dealing with my response then moving on instead of engaging.

Finally, the dialogue. I have mixed feelings on this. I am seeing a lot of personality in it, but it is trying a little too hard to talk, at least for me it is. I have tried variations of response length—along with the narration option selected. It still seems to be pushing dialogue with those options selected.

All my messages end with a summarising sentence, usually one that is trying to push the next part of the story. It feels out of place and very bot-like. The actual dialogue throughout is also hit or miss. Going back to the comedy issue I mentioned; it seems adamant on playing with this kind of tone. Because of this, the dialogue can break the immersion because it doesn't feel natural. It ties into the flexibility issue I mentioned. I think it needs more fluidity rather than talking in a set structure. I'm also noticing it won't swear at all, despite the character I experimented with this on being someone who casually swears often. This is in their character definitions.

Anyway, this is my personal feedback on the model. Looking forward to seeing how it develops over time.

Deepsqueak is the worst model right now.

Deepsqueak is genuinely the worst model right now. It can't follow the plot and tries to turn everything humourous. It makes no sense. Especially if more than one character is involed. It uses my banned words more than any other model, then scolds itself for doing it. It always had some problems but it used to be better than this. I don't want to "(chaos achieved)" as the OOC keeps spamming at the bottom of replies. This is a model we are paying for. It's been like this for a while now. When is something going to be done about this? If at all.
