IB Courses on AMCAS

Hi! Does anyone know what the rule is for IB courses on AMCAS? I have two courses listed on my college transcript that I took in high school, but I didn't receive any college credit for them. Should I put these on AMCAS because they're on my transcript? Or should I omit them because I didn't get any college credit?

Low CARS Score, Worthy Applying?

Hi! Recently, I attended a webinar for Case Western Med, and someone in the chat asked if individual MCAT section scores are taken into account. The school replied by saying that they don't evaluate sections with one over the other unless there is a wide disparity, in particular, CARS. Unfortunately, this describes me to a T (519 -- 131/125/131/132). I'm now wondering if I should even apply to this school, despite having a score above their average (517). Has anyone had any similar experiences with schools like this and having a low CARS score? Any advice is appreciated!

Hi! I am making my list of schools to apply to for the 2026-2027 cycle. I received an MCAT breakdown of 131/125/131/132. I am worried that my 125 CARS score is outside the lower bound for a lot of schools I would like to apply to (mainly T20-30s). I'm wondering if it is even worth it to throw an application their way, as it feels like a waste of money. Do a lot of MD schools pre-screen for low CARS scores?
