Closed since 1973 | Abandoned Farm School Australia 🇦🇺

I explored an abandoned farm school that has been left behind for years — and inside, I found something I never expected.
The Fairbridge Farm School opened in 1938 and operated until 1974, bringing British child migrants to Australia to live, work and train in farming. Around 1,000 children passed through the farm during its 36 years of operation, with the site eventually becoming a significant part of the history of Australia's child migration schemes.
But behind the intended story of opportunity and a new life, the school also has a much darker history. Former residents have spoken about physical, emotional and sexual abuse, and evidence of abuse and neglect at the institution has since come to light. These experiences are an important part of understanding the history of the site and the people who lived there.
Today, the abandoned site remains a fascinating time capsule, with forgotten dorm rooms, deteriorating buildings and traces of the children and staff who once lived and worked here.
As I explored deeper into the property, I also discovered a hidden car that I definitely wasn't expecting to find.

Abandoned slaughterhouse Australia 🇦🇺

This place looks like something straight out of a post-apocalyptic movie.
I explored an abandoned slaughterhouse site hidden away in the Australian countryside, surrounded by farmland, overgrown vegetation and a beautiful lake. Getting there was an adventure in itself, with a walk along the railway line before finally reaching the abandoned complex.
Once inside, the atmosphere completely changed. Huge concrete structures, crumbling industrial buildings and vines taking over almost everything give the place an incredibly eerie, apocalyptic feel.
But there were some things I definitely wasn't expecting to find...
A random abandoned car was sitting among the ruins, along with what looks like an old burnout pad — a pretty strange discovery in the middle of an otherwise forgotten industrial site.
The contrast between the peaceful lake and surrounding farmland and the massive, decaying concrete structures makes this one of the most unique abandoned places I've explored.
