It is certainly some kind of "urban exploration", yet it's not really urbex, since nothing there is abandoned or not in use. Assuming there's no pylon/bridge tower to climb, it also isn't urban climbing. Therefore... What do you think it is? Is it the same category as breaking into working places (yup, some people do that)? I know that not everything needs a label, especially in urbex-esque community, but i kinda don't know in which sub I should post content like that tbh.
(Photo credits: "Penetrator Scavenger Team", 2016. I was once inside the same bridge, but my photos looked much worse.)
Found bookkeeping records that end around June 2018, plus the old sprite and Mountain Dew bottles. Pretty cool place :) only really 3 rooms (main gas station, vision center, vision center front desk?)
This property was rebranded a few times. It originally operated as a Holiday Inn. On September 12th 1980, a couple was tragically murdered in room 260. In 2004, it was rebranded once again and turned into the waterpark resort/hotel you see now. It officially closed its doors in 2022 due to many health and safety violations. Some include black mold, poorly chlorinated pools, few to no lifeguards on duty at times, and many more. Employees complained of bounced paychecks, and residents of the hotel were left with nowhere to go after the power was shut off. Seems the owner fled to Florida and started a new business..
This mall is in a severe state of decay, and has been for many years now. There are mushrooms growing from the cracks in the wall, and a spider frozen in time. (1975-2018)
Im new to this community, and fairly new to reddit as far as posting. Idk what i can give away, im sure the mods will remove this if its too revealing
For starters, this is at a textile factory, and they have their own water treatment center with these terrifyingly deep vats of water, tons of measuring equipment for making sure the water is the proper temp, pH, and all the other stuff. In the Water treatment lab, theres a sort've office, im the corner of the office is this hole where the image ive taken is
I cant figure out how to add a video, i have one, but its this room, filled to the ceiling with water, has what looks like bent rebar steps to climb down, and im pretty sure its a office, because theres a desk, monitors, chairs, all sorts of stuff down there. Im very curious to know what this room was, or if it isnt a room...just whatever its supposed to be in general.
It was like a greenhouse upstairs!
Closed in February 2018
Had to rely on my camera's flashlight since I could barely see anything and my phone's flashlight is too weak.
This place is magical. In the winter it’s dreary, but in the summer it’s like a fairy garden!
Abandoned due to constant flooding from being located near the river. Why didn’t they take their photos when they relocated? :(
Tell it like it is.
It’s pretty trashed now unfortunately :(
I walked across a frozen harbor to get to this one!
Crazy finds in this one!!
