I recently had drinks with colleagues and was shocked to learn that they don’t save any money. I’m talking people in their 20s who are single and live at home with very little “necessary” expenses.

Most of my friends in my immediate social circle have very reasonable lifestyles where even if they aren’t frugal - they still save and invest money - so hearing my coworkers not saving was quite surprising to me. Is financial literacy really not that common here or are my colleagues outliers?
