No Rejection, No Interview, Reached out to leadership
Applied for a Non Tech Associate role at JPMC around end of April. Role was posted in March first week and is still open on the portal.
My profile aligns fully with the role tbh
What happened:
>Tried internal referrals, but they’re not useful
>My cousin sister (AVP, different department) got the hiring manager + HR contact
>She reached out to hiring manager(HM)
>Initially HM didn’t recognize the role, then after seeing JD said they remembered
>My resume was shared with him
>he said he’d send it to his boss and then coordinate with HR for interviews (this happened 10 days back)
>Fast forward today
>No HR outreach,No recruiter call, No rejection and Role still open on portal
>This week my cousin sister checked with HR as well and HR said they never received my resume.
Trying to understand realistically:
Is this normal big bank hiring behavior?
Does this sound like a deprioritized/frozen role?
Or could this still suddenly move later?
Would appreciate honest opinions from experiences and what should I do
