I (17 F) want to become emancipated. I’m not physically abused, but I’m unable to get a job to financially support myself during college and I have no one to help. Almost everything I own has been bought by me or my grandparents who I stay with during weekend,summers,and holidays. It’s a toxic household with insults and walking on eggshells with absolutely no positive words towards me. I’m afraid if I stay there by the time I turn 18,I won’t be able to go to college without facing serious debt and no work experience. I also have had terrible experiences with my father in the past but it was years ago,and I don’t think it would be relevant anymore.
