Please share project review for Brigade Garanda [Bangalore]
Bridge recently launched its new project Garanda in Hoskote.
It's a 40-acre township with 2,000+ homes, and they're also talking about a hotel, school, mall and a lot of amenities within the development.
What I'm not able to understand is the pricing. Even the 1 BHK is costing more than ₹1 Cr, and the pre-launch price seems higher than what some completed projects nearby are selling for.
Also, it's a township development. Along with 2000 homes + it's amenties, this 40 acre includes a hotel, mall, school and a college too. Won't the development becomes very crowded then?
Please share what you think about this project
After 19 years of delay, bangalore peripheral ring road work begins.
I think this road will definitely help by taking long-distance traffic out of the city and opening up new growth corridors.
But the biggest traffic headache in Bangalore is still the daily commute towards Whitefield and along the ORR. If the Sarjapur metro was also fast tracked, then that would have solved a lot of traffic.
Won't such a court corder be misused?
IKEA furniture - worth buying or overrated?
Planning to buy from IKEA rather than the local stores.
So those who are using IKEA for a while, how has it held up? Was it worth the money, or do you regret buying it
Loose furniture or built-in wardrobes?
We were designing my cousin's apartment and are confused between getting built-in wardrobes done or just buying loose wooden furniture.
Loose furniture feels more flexible. You can change the room layout anytime, replace furniture later, or even take it with you if you shift.
But we also felt built-in wardrobes look cleaner and use the space better.
Which option you think is better ? And are there any drawbacks of each that we're overlooking?
Looking for a good 3 BHK gated community near Bellandur
I'm moving to Bellandur and am looking for a 3 BHK in a gated community.
Which areas should I focus? Towards Sarjapur direction, Varthur, or southwards (Choodasandra, rayasandra) or HAL Airport side. Which side is less expensive and peaceful- suited for families.
Any project or location suggestions would be really helpful.

Officials asking bribes for property registration in Bangalore
I was about to register my new apartment in Bangalore and got a shock.
Apparently, to get the registration done smoothly, I’m being told I’ll have to pay around ₹25k–₹30k as “extra” to government officials. I checked with my lawyer thinking this can’t be real, but he casually said this is very common.
And it doesn’t stop there. For BESCOM connection, khata transfer and a few other things, again there are “extra payments”.
So overall, after already buying the property, I’m looking at another ₹60k–₹70k going just in bribes to get everything properly transferred to my name.
What surprised me even more is that this is a project from a top tier builder.
I genuinely thought buying from a category A builder would avoid all this headache, but apparently the process is the same everywhere.
I’m originally from Kerala, and there you normally don’t have to deal with this kind of thing just to register your own home. So seeing this in Karnataka was honestly shocking.
Is there any proper legal way to get all this done without paying bribes, or is this just how the system works here?
Good gated societies near Mahindra City, Chennai?
Looking for good gated societies to rent out in and around Mahindra City, Chennai.
Any societies you’d recommend? Any known issues like water shortage, maintenance problems etc?
Also, is it better to stay inside Mahindra City or are there cheaper and better options outside?
Anyone leasing their apartment to corporates in Bangalore?
I’m planning to rent out my 2BHK apartment in Bangalore near Airport to corporates for their employee housing.
Are there any Property management Companies who does this exclusively?
Any red flags or important things to watch out for while renting to corporates?
A city in India with walkable footpaths and decent public transport
Came across this video showing public transport and streets in Kochi.
If every Indian city had this kind of walkable footpaths and working public transport, I don’t think many people would feel the need to move into gated societies and pay all these extra premium expenses for basic living quality.
When will all Indian cities be like this?
If there's anybody who's currently renting out their gated apartment in Airbnb
How's it going? Are you getting better income than regular rent?
Also are you facing any issues from the association?
In the past month itself I've seen many incidents from the so called 'luxury premium' gated Projects across NCR..
Why do NCR folks keep on buying from these Builders at highly inflated rates. Delusional?
