I'm thinking about playing in a 5 round 90+30 weekend tournament, the weekend before the National Open which is another 90+30 7 round tournament.

Will this help me prepare for the National Open's longer time controls? I haven't played in a 90+30 Tournament in about 7 months but have played 25 classical games of mainly 60+5 this year.

I'm concerned that the 90+30 tournament the weekend before will deplete me and I want to feel fresh for the National Open.

I'm 28, have been playing in tournaments for 2.5 years and am 1650 OTB and 2150 Chess com rapid.
